Sergio Ramos signs for Paris St Germain
Sergio Ramos has signed a 2-year contract with Paris St Germain (PSG) on Thursday evening.
The PSG Chairman and Chief Executive, Nasser-Al Khelaifi, said they are grateful to announce Sergio Ramos.
"Today, Paris welcomes one of the greatest players of our era. We are delighted to announce that Sergio Ramos has joined us.".
Sergio Ramos, 35, is famously known at Real Madrid, where he spent 16 seasons as a center-back. His football career started in the Seville Academy, where he played eight years before moving to Real Madrid in 2005.
PSG has announced that Sergio Ramos will wear the No. 4 jersey's while Thilo Kehrer takes No.24
"I am quite superstitious about it, and I love the number 4 because I have worn that number since the start of my career, and it has followed me throughout my career and my life, bringing with much luck and many victories. The No.4 is a part of me now as a person and as a professional, explained SR4. For me, it's a privilege to be able to wear this number in a team as great as Paris Saint-Germain." Ramos said.
Speaking at PSG TV, Ramos said he wants to contribute with his experience to the team.
"I think I bring experience and maturity. I'm a hard worker, I like to be consistent, and I have a strong sense of sacrifice. That's what I've achieved throughout my career, and I'll try to give my best to try and bring as many titles here as possible."
In the 2020/2021 season, PSG was knocked out in the Semi-Finals of the UEFA Champions League and finished 2nd in their domestic league.
