AmaZulu has sparked the title race.
The AmaZulu FC has sparked the title race after beating Cape Town City by 5-1 in a DSTV Premiership match.
The nipped 3 points have shifted AmaZulu to be one point behind Mamelodi Sundowns, who still have their two games in hand. The aMasandawana has locked horns with Golden Arrows after playing a goalless draw that displayed at the Loftus Stadium.
The AmaZulu coach, Benni McCarthy, said it was better to play with a team that you know inside out. " Yeah, Cape Town City has made it difficult for us, but it always nice when you have a coach that knows what you're trying to do on one camp, and he's on the other camp. So, yeah, that made things easier for us."
Benni has explained the instructions that he gave to his players. "When it comes to the defense, I'm strict, and I choose my words carefully. I don't take it kindly when my defender wants to be a playmaker. The job of you there is to defend. But, on the high pitch, I relax because that's where most of the creativity happens." Benni said.
The Cape Town City Coach, Jan Olde, said AmaZulu was a better team.
"Yeah, I think we were beaten in almost every expectation of the game. It was mental, physical, ball possession, and even the defensive part. AmaZulu has shown themselves as a better team than we did." Olde said.
Next, on May 01, AmaZulu would play a derby match against Golden Arrows
