Switzerland eliminated France to reach the Euro Quarterfinals.
Before this game, Switzerland has never progressed to the last 8 of the Euro tournaments after entering 5-times starting from 1996.
While on the other side, France was 'eliminated' for the first time in the last-16.
In the quarterfinals, Switzerland will face Spain, who in their last-16 has defeated Croatia 5-3 after extra time.
The Switzerland coach, Vladimir Petkovic, said he felt very emotional after the game. " Well, I was not able to speak toward the end of the match ... I was done I lost my voice. France coach, Didier Deschamps, said he is not angry with Kearyn Mbappe, who did not show his best performance against Switzerland. "Well, Kearyn, if he didn't score a goal, he was decisive in many actions that we have. No one is angry with him, I talked with our players, and we know the strength of this squad. We had a lot of magnificent moments today. It hurt but, we have to accept it." Didier said.
