It Official: Man City crowned as the EPL Champions.
Leicester City has ceased the chase after beating Man United 2-1 at the Old Trafford Stadium.
The red devils are sitting on the second position with 70 points, and they have 3-games left for the remainder of the season. While, on the other side, Man City has accumulated 80 points, which confirms their victory in the English Premier League (EPL).
In the first 10 minutes, Thomas opened a scoreline with a volleyball that traveled from 'the top corner' of De Gea's pole. By 15 minutes, Mason Greenwood returned with an equalizing goal 'that he scores' after dribbling three defenders to hit a target. The winning goal came with Calgar Soyuncu in the scored half.
Man United coach, Ole Gunner Solskjaer, said they need to reinforce their squad if they want to challenge Manchester City. "If you want to take up the challenge with them, we need to strengthen our squad. Congratulations to them. They have had a fantastic season. I am pleased with my boys that have made it to the last ten days with a Manchester City side ahead of us lauded as the best in Europe. We want to take the next step, and it might be that we need a couple more to strengthen the squad," Ole said.
The Leicester City coach, Brandon Rodgers, said he was happy about the result. "It was always going to be difficult after our last performance, but I’m so proud of the team. I thought we started the game well, Luke scores an amazing goal ... with a 19-year-old and Wesley at 20 in the backline ... they’re inexperienced, but they’ve got no fear," Brandon said.
