The KwaZulu Natal Premier's Cup has been announced to kick off on Saturday, 07 August 2021, at the Chatsworth stadium.


This pre-season tournament is designated for PSL and Glad Africa Championship teams that are based in KZN.


The KZN MEC for Sport and Recreation, Hlengiwe Mavimbela, said this tournament would unite the KZN province and uplift the economy.


"It is during these times of uncertainty that we need sport more than ever before. Sport is crucial in uplifting the public mood, creating social cohesion, rebuilding confidence, and driving the economic recovery. The department is committed to utilize sport as a powerful tool to achieve socio-economic transformation of our society," she said.


According to Hlengiwe Mavimbela, "Last year, following the cancellation of the Premiers Cup, the Department spent R2.8 million to assist our seven clubs with resources while they were playing to compete for the 2019/20 PSL and the Glad Africa Championship under the bio bubble in Gauteng. This year, each of the six participating teams will receive a preparation fee of R585 000.".

Sunday 8 August 2021 - Chatsworth Stadium


Semi final fixtures:


1. AmaZulu FC VS Golden Arrows 9am


2. Winner of Match 1 VS Winner of Match 2 12h00


3. Final 4pm.


All these games will be played behind closed doors, fans are encouraged to watch them at home as they will be televised live on SuperSport TV.
