Just In: Man City has signed Jack Grealish on a six-year contract.
Manchester City has signed a six-year contract with Jack Grealish on Thursday evening.
According to the club statement, they have broken their transfer record to spend $139 million for Jack Grealish. The 25-year old midfielder comes from Aston Villa, where he played 213 games, scored 32 goals and 43 assists.
Speaking on Man City TV, Grealish said he feels excited to join a club that's doing well in the English Premier League.
"City is the best team in the country with a manager considered to be the best in the world – it’s a dream come true to be part of this club. Over the past 10 seasons, they have won major trophies consistently. Pep coming here has taken them to the next level, and the football this team plays is the most exciting in Europe. To play for Pep and learn from him is going to be special, and it’s something any top footballer would want." Grealish said.
Grealish has been given the number 10 jersey that was previously dorn by Sergio Aguero, who has recently left Man City to join Barcelona on a two-year contract.
